Re: How to do Patch change from Sonar

2003-04-27 by ski_ex5tech

I don't have Sonar. However, changing programs (a.k.a. patches)
should be a simple matter of sending the appropriate System Exclusive
(SysEx) message from your sequencer.

In version 1.01 of the owners manual, in the "System Exclusive
Messages / Main Parameters" section on page 41, you can find the
SysEx string that you need to send the Evolver in order to change
programs. The "Main Parameter Number" in this case will be "0" (as
per page 27). The "Parameter Values" will be the desired
bank/program number.

You may have a little homework to do if you've never worked with
binary and hex numbers, and you'll probably want a hexadecimal editor
for the job (rather than a plain text editor). Sorry, but it's tough
to tell your level of experience based on your message. Hope this
helps.
