Welcome, Paul. Intrigueing little box, isn't it ? I like your song a lot. Great Evolver sound and good arrangement. Somehow different from the mostly electronic stuff around. Good one ;-) At the moment I am a little sad because I managed to rub the Dave Smith signature off from my Evolver after only 3 weeks of heavy twiddling. There isn't so much traffic on this list atm. Everyone seems to be busy tweaking knobs ;-) Some of my Evolver work is here: http://www.trippler.net/music/DSI-Evolver/dsi-evolver.html Regards Stefan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paul Vnuk" <pvnuk@...> To: <DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Sunday, May 04, 2003 12:09 AM Subject: [Evolver] Just got an evolver!!! Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I have had my evolver about a month now and just found this group. I finished my first song with the evolver a few weeks ago with the first "successful" patch I have ever wrote. Here is a link to the song: http://www.darkduck.net/drone.htm its track number 21 or here is the direct link, http://www.darkduck.net/drone/PAUL_VNUK_JR_Adullum.mp3 The evolver was the only synth used on the song, the rest is a nylon string gtr, Rhodes key bass, Tibetan bells and a rain stick.(the rain stick and bells are heavily processed so they sound like a synth). I bought the evolver originally to create background drones and sequences and was pleasantly surprised at how great and unique of a mono synth it is. If anyone has any good tips or tricks for creating slowwwly "evolving" patches let me know :-) Paul Vnuk, Jr www.majale.com
