Yes, the input pad for the audio input is the right parameter to adjust. Press the [Main] Button twice and adjust knob three. You will see the parameter change from 0dB to 24dB. These values represent the input pad adjustment to the incoming signal. 0dB is no adjustment - the other values represent the amount of gain reduction to the input signal.
