I HIGHLY recommend that you do NOT use standard MIDI format as a 
means to store your Evolver patch dumps.  Instead, use a sequencer or 
separate utility that allows you to record the SysEx patch dump data 
in raw SysEx format.

Please read details in the forum topic linked below.  Apologies for 
not posting the whole thing here.  My post is rather long, and I 
think this is a fairly serious issue.  I also wanted to consolidate 
any resulting discussion in one thread for future reference (I feel 
this isn't a "throwaway" topic).
