There are currently two OS revisions, to coincide with two different hardware revisions of the evolver. The first 100 or so used the onboard VCA of the curtis chip and the 1.0 OS, but due to some interference that occured in a few evolvers as a result of that, all later evolvers use an external VCA circuit, and the 1.1 OS. The two OS revisions are identical to the end-user. We won't know if there are any problems with the evolvers getting old until they actually get old ;) They're all less than a year old, so it's really hard to say...the person who recently posted with a possible dead evolver is the first I've heard of, though. --- In DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com, "multipassport" <soundattack2001@h...> wrote: > hi.. > in a post i read about that hidden keycombos to tune filter and show > up evolver revisions. i just wandering what that means. i got v1.1 .. > a new os will come soon and so i hope i will be good with my > revision. is there any problem with evolvers getting old? > cheers > peter
