Seems a few folks have had Evolver die on them. The last two died during a OS upgrade, one user said he had plugged it back in and it was dead (the other didn't mention if there was plugging/unplugging power). Well, here's the thing, I had my Evolver die on me just during normal use (I wasn't upgrading). I was however trying to un-stick a midi note, my midi interface just wouldn't clear the note, so I unplugged my Evolver and plugged it back in -- oh, ho, dead Evolver. So, this is what I thinking (wondering); might the power supply accidental touch the metal body and create a short or something like that? I'm certainly not going to try some experiments, but maybe if others can recall what happened when their Evolvers died, we can save the lives of other Evolvers. B.T.W. DSI was very helpful in sending a new PIC and replacing it was a no brainer. Todd_Leben
