No offense intended if you've already checked this, but are you guys sure that you didn't/don't simply have "MIDI Clock" set to something other than "OUT" or "I-O"? If by chance you're not familiar with the settings, check page 15 in v2 of the owners manual. Having the wrong setting here would cause the symptoms you describe. If I'm not mistaken, reloading the OS would also appear to fix the "problem" too, since I think it restores default settings. And for the record, I've done a lot of OS upgrades (through all the beta releases), and all of them caused the Evo to make clicks, bleeps, and bloops during the load process. It's similar to when you load banks of patches. Let us know how it goes.
