RE: [Evolver] hi, just bought mine

I'm not sure what you're hearing. The lowpass filter is a true analog
filter while the MS2000 is a digitally emulated filter. Can't get much
smoother than an ANALOG filter.

And if you're looking for abstract and noise music (my personal
preference), this does it in spades. And Bass? With 4 oscillators, 2
being analog and 2 digital.... a little detuning, maybe some oscillator
drift, and you have one serious bass machine. This manages to rumble my
entire half of my house when ran through my sub. They're aren't a lot of
bass specific presets, you'll have to dial them in yourself.

I highly recommend dropping the $50 for the PC Editor. It makes patch
creation 1000x's quicker and easier. Plus, it has a randomize/genetics
patch morphing that usually results in the craziest palate of noises I've
heard from any box.

Subject: [Evolver] hi, just bought mine

hi people, just got my new evolver 2.0, this is my second H/W synth
as i have a korg ms2000 wich i love, this seems to be an awesome
synth but i`m noticing that the low filter does not change very
smooth as i`m used to with my korg. Everytime i modify resonace and
cutoff (while in 4pole mode) i dont like much what i hear, any advice
on that? what do you guys think?

i only played it today, i have to get used to the matrix and all,
also i don`t like the noise source and distorsion, anybody can give
some tips on that

i bought this stuff to make some abstract and noise music, but by now
i`m kind of let down....

:(

also where are the bass presets? i want some subBass sounds!
