but I sure can't find it. I would have sworn that I'd read something
someone with a similar problem. There's a related topic at EX5Tech
that you'd probably be interested to read, though it doesn't answer
your particular question:

You all will probably laugh at me, but I have yet to try triggering
the Evo sequencer from an external sequencer.
Anyway, chances are, you just have the wrong "MIDI Clock" setting on
the Evolver. Take a look in the manual (v2.02) on page 15 ("Main
Parameters - Main Row 1 - MIDI Clock"). You'll want to use a setting
of "In" or "I-O".
