Re: Evolver sequencer controlled by external sequencer?

2004-06-23 by ski_ex5tech

Seems like there was a thread on this topic here in the Yahoo group,
but I sure can't find it. I would have sworn that I'd read something
someone with a similar problem. There's a related topic at EX5Tech
that you'd probably be interested to read, though it doesn't answer
your particular question:

Using Clock Divide as one of the sequencer destinations while sync'd
to midi clock.

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link(s)
above onto two lines, you may need to copy/paste the link(s) into
your browser address bar.)

You all will probably laugh at me, but I have yet to try triggering
the Evo sequencer from an external sequencer.

Anyway, chances are, you just have the wrong "MIDI Clock" setting on
the Evolver. Take a look in the manual (v2.02) on page 15 ("Main
Parameters - Main Row 1 - MIDI Clock"). You'll want to use a setting
of "In" or "I-O".
