Re: compelling reason

No difference in the sound itself. It's just about the polyphony,
the "Combo" mode, and an LCD that lets you view Program and Combo
names, among other things.

If you're wanting to listen to mp3's of the Poly, go download a bunch
of Stepan's tunes from the links in his posts here, or at his
http://www.trippler.net/music/ site. Some of the other guys have
posted some great stuff recently, too.

If you want to listen to mp3's of sequences created by a single Poly
in Combo mode, there are links to four demos in the following forum
post:

Poly Evolver Update (April 14, 2004) + mp3 Demos -

(Note: If your email client or the Yahoo group splits the link(s)
above onto two lines, you may need to

copy/paste the link(s) into your browser address bar.)

So I've had it a while and totally love the sounds it makes. I am
considering selling some gear I don't use much to get a Poly Evolver,
but so far I have not heard anything that impresses me enough to make
it happen.

haven't heard any compositions that I could tell were that much
different than the single evolver.
