Re: Sine

Lack of a Sine waveform??? The first waveform in Osc 3 and 4 is a
sine. No, this sine is not analog, but since it IS a sine (i.e. no
high frequency harmonics at all), it doesn't really have an aliasing
problem in the usable range. I don't miss the fact that it's not
analog; I use it a lot. Check out this topic for names of the other
digital waveforms if you're interested:

If you're really bent on having an analog sine, then either:

1) drive the filter into self oscillation as previously recommended
by Summa, or...

2) use a triangle wave, and run it though the filter with a low
enough cutoff frequency to remove what few harmonics are present in a
triangle, which will leave you with a sine.

Don't forget that with the filter "Split" parameter, you can vary the
left/right filter cutoff frequency independently. That will allow
you to use a low cutoff in one channel (for your triangle/sine), and
a higher cutoff in the other channel (for your higher harmonics
sound). Then just set the output pan to center, and you'll have a
non-stereo monophonic sound with a mix of a sine wave and your choice
of other waveform.

My best recommendation is to simply use the digital sines, though.
That yields the most flexibility, and you won't miss the fact that
the sine waves aren't analog (like you would with a saw, triangle, or
square).
