You won't be able to that with the Edirol. For any parameters that use range, like 1 - 127, will not be able to be programmed by the Edirol. The way the Evolver is setup to receive that data, LS nibble packaged in a byte, followed by the MS Nibble, packaged in a byte, the Edirol does not support that particular format for data range. There was an extensive conversation on the list about programming Sysex for the evolver. I was part of that conversation. If you do a search in the archives, you'll see how this works and why the Edirol is not capable. The only way would be to beg Edirol to add another mode with a firmware update that supports the 8bit/8bit nibble format of the Evolver -----Original Message----- From: E Friend [mailto:efriendo@...] Sent: Saturday, September 04, 2004 1:06 PM To: DSI_Evolver@yahoogroups.com Subject: [Evolver] sysex programming I'm having trouble figuring out how to program my Edirol PCR-50 to transmit sysex messages to the Evolver for parameter changes. I've been looking for sysex info on the net, and I've read both manuals, but it doesn't make any sense to me. Anybody know of any good books or resources to learn about sysex messages? Thanks! Yahoo!
