You are correct about Env 1 and Env 2. Env 1 = Filter, and Env 2 = Amp. Also, I think you're right about it not being documented in the manual; I looked, and I can't find it, either. The "E1A" modulation destination is Env 1 ATTACK, not AMOUNT. "E1L" is the Env 1 LEVEL (or AMOUNT). You can find this in the "Modulation Destinations" table on pages 38 and 39 of the manual (v2.02).
