I don't think so. I think what you are trying to do is create a zone of play, i.e. from C2 through C4 only. The Evolver doesn't have this feature since it is monophonic. The Poly does though. In order to do this with most synths (unless they have such multitimbral capabilities) you have to have a controller keyboard in which you set up zones which send to different midi channels each.

and apologies of this is a dumbass question but I'm just beginning
to learn to programme. I have a mono DSI. Can I limit the range of
notes a patch or oscillator will respond to from a midi keyboard
(can't do it at the keyboard end). Thanks.
