I haven't used the Sounddiver editor - but if it does not let you set the sequences to other lengths than 16 steps, it is missing something! YOu can change each of the 4 to a different length, also.

While I also really like to use the Evolver with an editor, especially the sequencer where I can see all of the steps simultaneously - I think it is very valuable to learn how to program the Evolver without the editor. It's actually quite easy and intuitive...shouldn't take you too long to get the hang of it.
