I suppose the question was somewhat rhetorical, but as I recall it (the synth is boxed for a move), you can configure a Q multi such that 16 key ranges (of arbitrary size or overlap) send note data to 16 different channels, and within that setup you can choose to send to an internal patch, to an external module, or both. Plus you can specify if the notes are arped, or whether one of the sequences is played. The Q has other maddening faults as a controller, but splits are not one of them. regards, Paul
