Greetings everyone, a proud new Evolver tabletop owner

2005-05-11 by Charles Choc, Jr.

Howdy everyone. Just writing to say hello. I scored a second-hand
evolver, and it was delivered just yesterday. I've played with it a
little bit, and wow...quite an impressive breadth of sounds. I've also
tinkered with it as an effects processor, and, though it might not be
as easy or 'straight-up' as the Virus C's effects parameters, I can
tell that it rivals or exceedes it in terms of the complex results you
can obtain--most impressive. Anyway, I'm very excited to be using
this, and am tired of lugging my Virus Indigo 2 around. The size of
the Evolver is a welcome change. I intend on complementing it with an
Elektron Monomachine, which I will also use to sequence the
Evolver--I'll then sell my Indigo 2 most likely (really don't want to,
but have been coveting the Monomachine for some time, and can't affort
to own two $1000+ synths.

Charles

My other gear include: Elektron Machinedrum, Yamaha RS7000, Oberheim
Matrix1000, Frostwave Sonic Alienator (probably sell this because of
the Evolver), Kenton Control Freak (Studio Edition), 2 G4 powerbooks,
Live, and Logic.
