Hello, I am a new member but have been an Evolver/poly owner for a 
while. Friday I got the poly keys. I fooled around with them this 
weekend , with great pleasure. Because I am fortunate to have a poly 
rack, I tried the chain hookup. I have a few questions:

1. How does this work in combi more? Is it up tp 8 part multi with 
the possibility of at least 1 parameter. pitch say, sequenced for 
each voice? IF so how is the keyboard used for programming the rack 
combi? 

2. I used the so called "basic patch" found in bank 1 patch 128 of 
the keys and bank 2 patch 128 of the rack and tried to change the 
patch parametrs from the keys. They both changed, but the 4 rack 
voices sounded different from the changes on the 4 key 
voices.Starting from identical sounding patches, this is not 
supposed to happen according to the manual, although the manual also 
cautions that "the latest updated software' must be used. I am 
unaware of any OS updates for the rack, is one in the works in order 
for editing from the keys? Am I doing something wrong? 

3. Although my sound set in the rack has some patches that are 
identical to the keys there appear to be quite a few different ones. 
Is there an easy way that I missed in the manual to send the key 
patches to the rack?
