is it possible to stop and start the evolver's
seq remotely without using a midi stop/start? I mean using sysex or
something?

Its just like my other polys or monos with memory (like the moog voyager) in that respect. Particularly noticable when I grab the filter cutoff paramter knob. But I offered tat as a possible explanation for why, in poly chain mode, my "basic patch" edit resulted in 2 different sounds for the 4 voices of the keys and rack.-------------- Original message --------------

When you adjust a parameter on the PEK, I thought the sysex message[*]
sent over the polychain output was an absolute setting for that
parameter, which would force the rack to the same value as the keyboard
-- even if they started out with different values.
[*] "Program Parameter", p.53 in the PEK manual
[BTW, AFAIK the PEK uses encoders, not pots, so all knob edits should be
relative on the keyboard side, i.e., no jumping.]

In New York, most people don't have cars, so if you want to kill a person, you
have to take the subway to th! eir house. And sometimes on the way, the train
is delayed and you get impatient, so you have to kill someone on the subway.
