PEK Bug

2005-05-26 by Tony Scharf

Ok, I ran accross a bug in my PEK keyboard, and I am wondering if anyone
else has noticed it.

When I am in Combi mode, and I select Part one and start tweeking, if I
switch to part two and tweek the same parameter knob, the value for part
2 'Jumps' to the last value of part one before the edit begins. its
like, when I switch parts the front panel controls arent getting updated
to what the value of the selected patch is, but rather are just
remembering whatever their last state was.

To give an example, say I have a patch in part one and part two. the
initial value for the output volume of part one is 75, and 25 for part
two. If I select part one and edit its value to be 100, when I then
select part two everything sounds fine until I go to twist the knob for
output volume, at which point its value jumps from 25 to 100.

I do not know if it does this for all the voice parameters, but its
definitly happening for output level, output hack, and distortion level,
which were the controls I was working with yesterday when I noticed it.
I dont have any MIDI hooked up to it when I am experiencing this
behavior, and all the parts are on their own MIDI channels.

Anyone else notice this?

Tony
