Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

Hi everyone,

i just got my evolver desktop a few days ago. and...
IT ROCKS. :) 
(actually even the presets sound fantastic!)

now i have a question.

i have linked the default controller (modWheel) to the lowpass
frequency , set the amount of modulation to max (99), but i can only
sweep half of the filter.

i guess it is normal as CC's do not have a great resolution. (or am i
doing something wrong ?)

But i was wondering if there is a way to have my controller sweep the
whole cutoff frequency.

my controller is a kenton control freak live, and it handle up to
55bytes sysex strings. (not sure if it does checksum though).

do you think i would be able to do what i want using sysex and my
kenton ? or would I still be able to sweep half the filter only.

i know i could try it myself, but i am afraid of spending time
understanding the evolver sysex, only to realize that i cannot do what
i want.
