Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

Hello,

i've looked over the pdf that comes with the down load and I still don't understand how to 
update my evolvers os.  The pdf simply says download the file but what utility should I use 
to download the file.  I use Ableton Live as my sequencer, so should I use that and how?

Sorry for such a basic question, but I've never updated a hardware synth like this before...
