I like the Soundtower editor as well - I gave up programming the Evo from the front panel after I installed the first version and never looked back. I use the Soundtower editor every single day. I love the "genetics". I also very much like the "all in one screen" approach for most of the editor's functions. It's not perfect - there's UI things I wish were different: * Some parameter grouping/layout seems odd to me (I've even spent some time sketching out an alternate UI) * Naming/terminology doesn't EXACTLY match Evolver (and in the Shape Mod case is just WRONG) * Initialize sets some parameters to -99 instead of 0 * Never retains window size/always have to resize it * 2 sets of Filter Mod destinations instead of 1 (2nd set is for individual addressing, was added later) ...but that's nitpicking. There are a few bugs. That's the way software is. However, Soundtower continues to support this niche product (and it is a small niche at that), fixing bugs and making improvements. I've e-mailed with them a bit and they are quite receptive to suggestions. I'll put it another way: I also own a Nord Lead 2 and an Alesis Ion. Neither of those have software editors, and I'd gladly pay Soundtower $50 for editors of similar quality and style for each of those synths.
