Hi everyone,

 

I have a new evolver here (version 3) and I think it may be faulty but I
am not sure, maybe someone can help me out. 

First of all after a random amount of time the evolver will start
outputing very load white noise, the only way to stop this is to power
it off. I have seen another post on another site about this being
fixable by a sysex patch from DSI, I have emailed them but had no reply.
Is this true? 

Secondly the unit is very noisy on some of the patches with lots of
hiss, is this just a side effect of these patches? 

Thirdly when sending sysex messages to the evolver it makes lots of
random and loud noises. 

Any advise on these issues would be apreciated, should I return it or
are these things normal?
