Re: Linux?

2006-03-10 by anonymous_evolver_128

i also recently recieved a desktop evolver, and will most likely be
ordering a few more of them. and i am also a linux user and plan to
automate a few tasks with linux since i don't like booting windows.

which controller are you talking about? do you mean the commercial
editor program that dave smith sells for $49 on his web site? as far
as i know, everything needed to control the evolver is fully
documented in the manual and there are no secret protocols that his
software takes advantage of. it's all done through the documented
midi sysex messages.

i'm planning to write some scripts to do what i need under linux, and
i'll post them to my web site and i'll either place them in the public
domain or GPL them as i make them. please check
http://www.morelater.com/evolver/ occasionally.
