It's funny but yesterday i plugged my guitar into the evolver which i
haven't done for a long time. evolver sounds great with guitars!

there is a parameter called distortion in the evolver. it's important
to know that the distortion can be placed before filters (only
affecting the input signal) or after the filters and VCA. for the use
with a guitar apply the distortion to the input signal (i00 to i99
will come above o00 to o99). a value over 80 will give you heavy
distortion. if this isn't enough use the input hack and things will
get really nasty! don't forget to set the ext in vol to 100 and also
check the input gain. 

maybe you also want some flanger or chorus which is no problem. just
use a short delay and modulate the delay time with a LFO. as a quick
start i would check the facory preset in the evolver. bank3 sounds
20-30 on my evolver has some nice presets for guitars.

one thing i don't understand when using the ext input is why the
signal is louder on the left side when the input mode is set to
L(eft). isn't that meant to be mono in?
