It sounds like maybe the setting for Global Clock has been changed. If the
clock setting is on some form of MIDI IN, the sequencer waits for clock info
from the MIDI input to set its tempo and start/stop times. In this setting,
the start button will stay lit and the sequence will only play when
triggered by external MIDI clock. Set back to Internal and try those patches
- hopefully that clears things up.
