Based on hearing your sound files, I would come to the same conclusion that it is some
kind of hardware issue. I can't think of any setting in software under program mode that
would make this occur. Perhaps one of the connections on that mono-evolver voice card
came loose, or worse, got knocked. I would not be one to know what the heck is going on
inside the PEK, but I do know that it's based on four mono-evolvers running off four
separate evolver cards, so maybe you will only need to part with just the one, or Dave
might have some other elegant solution.


I had something similar happen when I first got my PER, it ended up being a bad chip and DSI sent me a replacement pronto which fixed the problem.
