Must be something strange that Sonar is transmitting. I'm afraid I
can't really help more than that because I use Cubase - all I can say
is that it is unlikely to  be the Evolver at fault.

Does it transose by the same amount each time? And for different
patches? Are they your own or factory sounds?

If you have some means of monitoring the MIDI data that is hitting the
Evolver you might get the clues there. Can you tell Sonar to filter
certain types of data on transmission? Could you try another sequencer
program, even a demo version and see if the behaviour happens there?
What MIDI interface do you use? etc. etc... 8)
