My PEK crashes/freezes every time I:

1) turn on my MIDI interface AFTER my PEK (the two are connected)
or
2) hook up the MIDI interface TO my PEK when my PEK is already on.

Any ideas?

It works fine with MIDI after I restart it, or if I turn the PEK on
AFTER its already hooked into my MIDI interface (providing the MIDI
interface is on).  If I swap it out with any other synth, I don't have
this problem, and my MIDI interface isn't looping. 

It seems if it doesn't power-up with MIDI interface present to it, it
somehow gets tripped-up by the addition of the MIDI IN cord and
whatever small voltage the MIDI cord carries, thus freezing up.
