For the knobs I had the same prob.
Just remove them and apply some tape to the shafts and replace .
They should not trouble you again.
do not glue them as it would be difficult to remove them if future
problems arise.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
