A couple of days ago my Desktop Evolver started to act really strange. Turning itself on and off while plugged in. Making clicking noises. After some troubleshooting I found out that the power supply, which came with the Evolver, has gone haywire. After being plugged in for about 10 minutes the power adapter will start to drop its output voltage for a short while. My problem is that it's impossible for me to find a power adapter with the same specifications as the one that came with my Evolver (13-15 VDC, 500mA). Here in Belgium I can only find adapters that will have a maximum output of 12V. Is it harmful to use a power adapter that will only output 12V instead of the required 13V? I did try it and the Evolver does work, but I want to be sure that I don't destroy it in the long run. David http://dvdborn.blogspot.com
