Mono Evolver Keyboard as a drum machine... tips?

would anyone have tips to utilize the  mono evolver keyboard as a
"drum machine"?  I just want to create simple bass drum, snare, crash
rhythms.  I havn't been able to get this to work out.  Thanks for the
tips...
