Hello everyone. I have an issue with keyboard tracking (keyboard follow parameter). It looks like there's no parameter on Evolver (I purchased mono desktop a week ago). Here are few conclusions of mine. Someone will probably say "no sh*t Sherlock" but I would like to be corrected if I'm wrong: There's Key Amt parameter for filter tracking. If everything is set/assigned properly, it tracks the keys accurately, providing glide if necesarry. With self-oscillating filter and no oscs you can play sine wave without any problems, okay... The value of 72 represent an accurate C0 to C1 octave jump, being keyboard tracking of 100% (as labeled on many synths). So the evolver value of 100 is around 120%? But what if I want to turn off (or slightly change) pitch tracking of one of the oscillators? There's no dedicated parameter for that. Hm...is it possible to trig separate oscs with differetn MIDI channels? There is no Filter Key Amt in modulation sources (Am I right?). However there is a modulation source called MIDI Number, and it could be assigned to frequency of any (or all) of the oscillators, right? OK, but the value goes from -99 to +99. Since all 4 oscs are set up on keyboard tracking of 100% by default, I have to program two modulation slots to -99 to get the pitch track 0. (Each value of -99 & 99 represents keyboard tracking of -50% & 50%). Now, if I want one oscillator to play keys 100% in reverse (good for fun but for osc sync too), I have to spend 4 modulation slots! Quite a waste of precious modulation parameters! Plus, oscillators (both A and D) are not accurate in that condition; some octaves are working properly, some of them are jumping up one octave. Applying slow glide thru all the frequency range sound like a LFO with reverse saw.. I guess that has something to do with mapping and/or osc freq range.. So, are there any less painful option for keyboard trackings??? Forgive me if there's some obvious thing that I can't figure out. Thanks M.
