That's right. I use my MEK as a controller keyboard for racksynths during
sessions.

Yes.

The MEK knobs however don't send Midi CC but Sysex, so control will be
limited to keys, wheels and pedals most times.

Seemless integration. PER chained to MEK behaves like one 5 voice Polysynth.

Afaik there is only one hardware version, no changes in later models. Most
of the components have been developed and tested in thze ancestors PEK and
PER anyway.

Subject: [Evolver] MEK as a Controller

Hi,

I'm interested in getting a Mono Evolver Keyboard and I'm wondering if it
can be used as a controller for non-mono synth modules (such as my Roland
XV-5080). I assume that MIDI out is not restricted to monophonic. Does the
MEK have "echo off" - the option to send MIDI through the output without
triggering any internal sounds, while allowing incoming MIDI to trigger
internal sounds?

I'm also considering buying the Poly Rack in conjunction with the MEK. How
well does the MEK control the rack?
