I bought an MEK after I bought the EVO (Desktop), and I'm very glad I did. The MEK is one of my best purchases. The EVO was great but I couldn't get my head around programming it. After buying the MEK I was able to understand more about synth programming in a few days than I have since buying the Juno 6 in 1983, and learning the MEK made the EVO easier to understand. I'm keeping my EVO. I don't think I could sell it for what it's worth to me. I find that used EVOs are really cheap. I use the EVO live because it's easier to carry and fit on my rig, and occasionally I need more than one Evolver track in my recordings. I use the Keyboard to program patches then dump them to the Desktop.
