ive read all the posts here and i cant say clearly what the 'improvement 'is , unless 1. your encoders are dirty or faulty and you need to replace them or 2. you personally prefer pots.   
Ive yet to see a good explaination beyond that.  
yet some insist on  using the term 'upgrade' rather than  'preferential modification"  
there could be a case that the stock encoders are not of the best quality, but  then are these  new pots top shelf??
