Sounds wierd. But you need to be more specific.
First, start with a simple patch with no special mod routings. Then remember
that filter adsr will not do anything, nor will vca adsr unless you also have
the env amount setting up in both cases (and in the case of the filter, you have
set the cutoff to a reasonable position taking into consideration that filter
env amount "adds" to the level of the cutoff frequency). The vca adsr release
won't appear to do anything if the filter adsr and release is causing the sound
to end before the vca even gets it.
So, for testing vce env release, turn filter env
amt to zero, turn cutoff frequence to full. Now you should have a full sound
from one or more oscs. Now turn vca env amount to full and tweak the adsr there,
everything should work fine (note: turn the VCA LEVEL to zero or you will get
drone notes that never go off).
Work?
Okay set a reasonable release time and then go up
to the filter section. lower the filter cutoff frequence to about 1/4 and then
add some env amt and tweak the filter envelope and play notes. you should start
to hear the filter sweeps etc. remember the filter sweeps will make noise (your
garbage?) if the resonance is set very high.

When i adjust the release on my vca it doesnt seem to do anything. If i open the relase on the filter i get all this " garbage " after i release the key. Normally, on most adsr's i have messed with, the release determines how fast the filter closes and how fast the vca ceases to produce sound in key with the note played. Now i have only been into synths for a while so maybe this is only true with the other synths i have. Someone, please clue me in here.
Thanks
