I don't find an F in the VCA section, if you mean the VCA level instead,
this should be rather 0 than 100 ;-)
The stepsequencer was used only for the rhythm (0,off,0,off,0,off,0,0). I
don't remeber the midi note number, but that should be the least important
problem.

once again:
If you don't have a midi keyboard connected or KeyOff/Xpose = Off, Osc
frequency should be around C2

My problem was something very stupid: I was using a preset patch and I
forgot to check that "Trigger Select" was set to "ALL". Oooops! :-)

I went a little further and set up a snare/bass/hi-hat loop.

Seq1(O3F): all values set to "0"
Seq2(04L): 0 0 0 100 0 0 0 0 <- Snare drum
           0 0 0 100 0 0 0 100
Seq3(O3L): 100 100 100 0 100 100 0 100 <- Bass drum
           100 0 100 0 100 100 0 0

OSC3: set up as Stefan described, but with level=0 (Bass drum)
OSC4: F=C3 F=0 S=9 L=10 FM=3 (Snare drum)

***The FM and S levels of OSC4 are what gives it a snarey sound.
***The L value for OSC4 is what I'm using for a hi-hat sound.
It's basically just a less-noisy (and quieter) snare sound.
   But works quite well!

Also, I have ENV3 set as Stefan described but with the Amount set to
10. And I set DELAY1: T=10 L=90 F=80 because it *really* fattens up
the bass drum sound.

Anyway, maybe some of this will be a starting point for better drum
sounds :-)

Joe.

Oh, I forgot: I also changed the ENV3 destination to O3F rather than
OAF. But the ADSR values of ENV3 are as Stefan described.

Joe.
