a midi merge or splitter would do the job (splitter is cheaper), but, i'm assuming yer running some kinda midi sequencing s/w ?? i only know Logic, but, reckon it may apply - there should be a setting in yer s/w seq to enable a *soft* midi thru. I have the following set up on my lappy: controller k/b midi out --> pc midi in --> [s/w seq midi thru] then, pc midi out --> wee blue beastie midi in (my set up is actually more complex but that's the gist of it!) you can then select the DSI from yer arrange page of the midi seq and then (assuming all the channels are correctly set up in s/w) playing the k/b will trigger the DSI via the sequencer (and, if *record* is enabled also record the playing as midi data) the only drawback with this simple set up is tha there's no recording of DSI knob tweakings but otherwise works well.
