Dave Smith Instruments SYNTHESIZERS

Hello!

I'm new to the group and considering purchasing an Evolver. I want to
connect my Roland GR-33 guitar synth to the Evolver to use as a sound
source. Does anyone have any experience doing this kind of thing? How
is the tracking?

I have both the GR-33 and the (BlueChip Axon) AX100 as well as the
Evolver.  My experiences with the GR-33's (in)ability to track well
while using external MIDI devices led me to get the AX100 - which does
track very well.  I never tried the GR-33 with the Evolver but with a
Nord Lead 2, Waldorf Q and and Wavestation SR it was horrible.  The
GR-33 tends to get rather creative on its own.  If I have a chance
later today I'll hook up the two and see how it does.
