New Patch

New Patch

2002-11-19 by Ravi Ivan Sharma

I have been working on some patches for the second batch of Evolvers.

As I mentioned before, some of the original patches I programmed were done
on a beta and didn't translate so well to the release version after software
tweaks.

Anyway, tonight I uploaded a new Bank1, Patch1 patch in midi format.

First I beefed up the feedback (tuned to an octave plus a 4th (34)) to give
it more umph and edge to the basslines. Osc1 now is heard. Osc3 is cool, it
features the tunable mod amounts. Env3's modulates OSC3 pitch and I have the
amount set to 24 for an octave, with attack, decay and release all zero, but
I have sustain set to 100 so OSC3 sounds a perfect octave up. Then I have
LFO 1 set to 8 beats and tri and modulating Env3 attack so OSC3 has little
portamento type blips every 8 or so beats. But the time signature is 10/8 so
that adds some larger texture.

Also I have seq3 triggering OSC3 but OSC3 goes to 15 instead of 10 so the
round repeats really after 3 sets of 10, but since the filter is slowly
moving every 32, . . . you get it.

Change the waveforms of OSC3 for many very nice sounds with the slide. I
must be loopy but just fading the levels of OSC1 and OSC3 over the bassline
is practically a whole techno song right there.

Have fun and tell me what you think!

Ravi
