As i wrote in a previous mail, i like the editor! It looks great and
seems to be very usefull for me, because of faster editing the evo.
I couldn't test the whole editor because i didn't updated my evo yet,
so it is written for OS2.0...., Will do it this weekend because the
final OS is there.
What i don't like are some Fontcolors, they are not clear to read in
some parts of the gui, maybe it is my sony-monitor, have to try it on
my notebook.

I really like the editor, its a lot of fun to edit and will give
users a deeper understanding of the machine quicker than using the
hardware to edit, in my opinion.
two things i would like to see if possible, one to get the gui so
that the sequencer page and the parameter editor page can fit on one
screen at the same time. i have a 1400 resolution screen, and they
just don't quite fit. It seems with a little moving around, there is
enough real estate to fit them both nicely.
The other thing is that when you start to edit a patch, the existing
parameters are not shown, so all parameters show 0, even if they in
reality are 14, or 64 or whatever. This makes things a bit
confusing, i'm not sure if its possible to dump the settings from
the evolver to the software so that you can see the parameter
settings before you start editing.
Either way, the software is a ton of fun and i've found it very
helpful, thanks to the programmer.

There will be a new beta up soon that should fix this problem. This
version will also have help text, I'm helping proofread it now.

In the final version you will be able to use both the editor and the
Evolver's hardware interface to edit pathes. Any changes made on the
Evolver hardware will immediately update on the Editor GUI.

Some additional changes include the ability to directly input values
in addition to using the GUI sliders. Also, the current active
control in the editor will be highlighted. This is useful when you
are using the arrow keys on the PC keyboard to adjust values.

There's a bunch of other stuff as well, but I cannot remember them
right now. :)

Mark has done a great job, and I agree that it makes the power of the
Evolver much easier to get at.
