Help with freeware mac editor OSX

2003-10-31 by andreruello

Hi.
I recently purchased my evolver and am trying to get it to work with Matthew
Davidson's freeware editor for OSX and am having no luck at all.

ive got a Midiman 4x4 interface and connected the midi out of the evolver to an in on
the midiman and vice versa with the evolvers in to an out.. i turn the evolver on and
set it to send and receive on whatever channel and launch the editor. nothing seems
to happen.

I know the Midiman and cables are working as i use them with my Nord Modular and
software editor..

Is anyone successfully using the OSX editor? i would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Hi.
Im certain that the mac is set up properly for midi as im using it sucessfully with my
nord modular and other midi equipment..

do i need to do anything further to get it to work with the evolver?

ive not upgraded my evolver to 2.0 yet but ive just downloaded the new evolver editor
so will give that a shot...

As far as i can tell it seems to be working. ive got no experience
with the audio panel so i cant really tell.. again, it works fine for the n=
ord modular so i
can only speculate...

BUT, using the evolver editor v.94 and the midiman interface i now
get this error
when using the editor..

After launching the editor while the evolver is plugged into the mac
via midi i get this
from the Status window:

<quote>

coll: no file chrmod
coll: no file mods
• error : bpatcher : can't find MidiSetup Input
• error : bpatcher : can't find MidiSetup Output
• error : bpatcher : can't find MidiSetup Buttons

any clues?

Thanks.

This is nothing to worry about

Could be it can't find the CoreMIDI library. It is included with the instal=
ler, inside the
folder that contains the application. Remember: you need to drag the folder=
, not the
applciation to your applications folder for it to work.

Also, be sure to download v.95
