OK, so it lives, and it goes in a rack. Im all in.
Two questions,
1. Can i chain two together to get 8x polyphony, ie " midi overflow "
2. When will they be out and how much?

1. You can chain as many as you want together.
2. I don't know.

BTW one cute thing I noticed from the pics on DSI's web-site: the
polyvolver has a `mix audio in' input on the back, so you can chain the
audio as well as midi. I think this is a _very_ nice idea, save some
mixer inputs, make it act more like a single big synth, etc. [wish the
mono evolver had this too, though I guess you can stick the output of
_one_ of those into the first polyvolver input!]

Re: [Evolver] How it really lives

2003-12-09 by Robert Shanks

Hi All -

Here's some pictures of the PolyEvolver that are closer to how it will
really look. The fades on the beta front panels did not print right so I
used Photoshop to fake it. I worked with Dave to create the Evolver
graphics and the PolyEvolver, or polywog as seems to be nicknamed, will
look very similar: fading ring around the logo, matte finish on front
panel.

The first pic is with retouched fades. The second pic has black switches
which Dave may use instead of the red. I like the black switches better.
The third pic is the original Illustrator artwork.

Happy tweaking - Robert

Let me know if you can't see the pics and I'll put them in the Evolver
Yahoo Photo folder or see if I can get Ski to post them.

Nope, can't see the pics. Please put them in the Yahoo Photo

Me too ... red works for emphasizing something important -- it really
draws the eye -- but really, the on-off switch is not really what you
want to emphasize!

[BTW, wish the mono evolver _had_ an on-off switch, of any color. :-]
