Evolver Editor question!

Evolver Editor question!

2003-12-11 by rickyannotta

Hi all!

I just purchased the software editor. I'd like to load some
programs/banks in the blue beast with it, but either I'm doing it
wrong or the editor doesn't seem to reconize the files. Nothing
appears in the directory window in the editor. If I goto my computer
and check the the folder, they are seen as midi-ox files. Anyone run
into this?

Thanks,
Rick

BTW - where's the music? Haven't heard much posted lately!

No, but its worth the money. ($49,-)
Its a good way to organize your patches and it has a great mutate
function wich generates 128 new patches from two "input" patches.

Ronald.

PS. I know you from the Elektron group right?

There, yes, and maybe elsewhere. I think I'm following in the footsteps
of Aeon as the man on the most good gear groups...

No, I haven't tried to load complete banks, they were loaded with
midi-ox before I bought the software. Did you recieve the new version
btw ?(v1.3)

I've started working on new material using a
MonoMachine/Machindrum/Evolver combination. Have been busy beta
testing the Monomachine and now the OS is reaching it's final stage
so I can finally do some serious damage ;-)
Expect some demo's soon and untill then you can listen to this jam:

(MonoMachine + Machinedrum single pattern - just testing - recording)

Ronald.

uuummmm....anyone know the answer to soundeditor question?

It keeps showing me a blank folder when I piont the editor's browser
to the foler the programs are loaded in. In windows they are lised
as midi-ox files. Anyone run into this or am I just doing it all
wrong?

When you try to load the bank do you select the file type to be SYX?
(set under file name box)
Default it only shows *.epb files.

Ronald.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
