...perhaps i'm just missing something, but this started last night 
(although i had noticed a few isolated incedents in the past).

i play the evolver with a windcontroller, and i'm finding that all 
of a sudden, it usually does not trigger a slurred note.  if i 
tounge every note all seems fine.  i also tried with a midi 
keyboard, and the same result, when i press the second key before 
releasing the first, it keeps holding the first note.

is there a setting i'm missing?  is there a reset?

Try changing the setting on 1-8 (shift) key mode to LA, or LAr (env 
retrigger).

...that wasn't it.  it was the "poly chain setting" was not set to 
off.  although i never got the impression from the manual that this 
would affect the sound in this way.
