Re: [Evolver] Evolver sequencer controlled by external sequencer?

I have the same setup and it's a treat once you get it set up right...
from memory here's a few things to check... obviously you have a midi
out (I use midi out A) from RS7k into midi in Evolver

1. Choose a track on your RS7k
2. Make sure you set up this track to send midi from the correct out
(either A or B depending on where your midi out of the RS7K is coming
from)... you do this by pressing setup 3 times (might be 4) then
selecting midi out (A or B) and the channel number (this will make sense
when you see the screen I'm talking about)
3. Turn RS7K TG off for that track on the same screen (or you'll get
both Evo and RS voices playing)
3. on the Evolver make sure you have selected the same midi rec channel
as you have set up on your RS7K
4. Check that your Evolver is set to Midi receive ALL

Then you can enter a pattern on your RS track and that will transpose
the sequence on your Evolver... nice... oh yeah, also make sure you have
selected external midi clock on the evolver.

Hope this is right (and not too basic, just trying to cover a few
things that got me stuck early on) I'm going from memory as I'm not in
front of my gear...

This might be a simple ? but I can't seem to get my sequencer to
control the
evolver sequencer. If I press play on my RS7000 the Evolver won't start
its
sequencer. How do I get it to do that and play along?
