Hi Steve,

the original file with sound from the digicam mic is on
http://www.trippler.net/files/mov/bcrevo.mov
Though I am not sure if it's worth the download ;-)

Hi Jozka,

I didn't try to control the Evolver with the BCR yet. I only have it since 2
days.
Here is the movie with the original file from the crappy digicam mic:
http://www.trippler.net/files/mov/bcrevo.mov

I tried to make a mix in Cubase with video and hifi sound, but this seems to
generate a 2nd audio file.

I am sorry but I do not own neither the Behringer controller nor the
Evo :-( You have to ask Stefan...

By the way, I am looking for an used Evolver ;-) Anybody? Please
contact off-list.

Regards,
Jozka

Imho it seems to be pretty sturdy.
I can't judge the quality of the encoders yet. Hope that they are better
then the ones in my Waldorf synths...

Thanks to a friend there is now a relatively small (6 MB) divx encoded
version with hifi sound:
http://www.trippler.net/files/mov/bcrevo.avi

I've deleted the other files

That's excellent!! How did you get the leds to dance like that!? I was
thinking of buying one of these to control my evo and other synths...
this has almost sold me!

Re: [Evolver] Re: Evo and Behringer controller BCR2000 ;-)

The LEDs of the BCR respond to midi controllers.
I painted some controller tracks in Cubase ;)

If you consider to buy a BCR/BCF bear in mind that the synthesis parameters
of the Evolver require sysex commands. For the Behringer controllers can't
generate these, it is afaik not possible to use the BCR for sound
programming on the Evolver.
It's pretty funny though to use the BCR as a controller for recording and
life playing. I've made a little BCR template that sends ModWheel,
Aftertouch, Expression, PitchBend, Velocity, Breath- and Foot controller
from the rotaries.
The sounds of the Evolver however must already be prepared to make use of
these controllers, means these controllers must be routed to an appropriate
destination in the mod matrix of a sound.

Regards
Stefan

"Why Dave can't do some simple
midi cc# assignments we'll never know."

Has he said that? AFAIK it is still soemthing that might be implemented. The
more people who write to him and request it the better... it will really
open up the evo to wind controllers for one thing...

Yeah, I imagined this might be the case. Why Dave can't do some simple
midi cc# assignments we'll never know. The main reason I'd get the BCR
is because you can't tweak more than one parameter at once using the
knobs on the evolver itself :(. That and I'm in desperate need of a
controller for software plugs and my g2 engine. This one looks like
the go.

Cheers Stefan,

Max
