Mac OS X editor?

Well, I sold my Evolver a few months ago to help finance a new computer, and now I am purchasing one again. At the time I couldn't run the editor on my old Mac (or it wasn't available for the Mac, I can't recall). Would someone mind summing up for me the status of this editor on OS X? I know that people have complained quite loudly about it - has anyone gotten it to work? What are the particular things to look out for?
